Celebrating 35 seasons, Chico Community Ballet is embarking on the creation of a brand-new unique concept….. A very Chico "Nutcracker"; with the intent to illustrate Chico's rich history through new sets, lighting and costumes.  Inspired by the Stansbury Family of Chico and their daughter Angeline, you will be transported back in time to a magical Christmas party and a dream of battling life size mice, marching toy soldiers and a fierce battle between the Nutcracker and the the Mouse King.  Her travels continue with her Nutcracker Prince to a beautiful Kingdom of Snow and then around the world with the beautiful sugar Plum Fairy.  From waltzing almond blossoms and a surprise visit from Mother Goose and her fairy tale characters and Tchaikovsky's magical score, this very special Nutcracker will  promise to enchant the whole Family.
